ATENEO head coach Louie Alas will not be on the sidelines on Saturday in their crucial UAAP Season 89 contest against Far Eastern University at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The first-year shotcaller will serve a one-game suspension due to three infractions, one of which due to physical misconduct during the Blue Eagles' rivalry game with La Salle on Wednesday, and the other two originating from technical fouls on assistant coach Kerby Raymundo.

The only rule violation Alas himself committed was 'physical misconduct' after ‘forcefully’ pulling Green Archers' swingman Jcee Macalalag up on his feet after a shooting foul.
The other two strikes were courtesy of Raymundo, who was flagged verbally taunting La Salle wing Vhoris Marasigan, as well as improper bench decorum back in their match against the University of the Philippines.
Under FIBA rules, bench personnel technical fouls are automatically charged to head coaches, which puts all incurred penalties under the tally of Alas, who just so happens to be celebrating his 63rd birthday on Saturday, as well.
Ateneo was given a chance by the Commissioner’s Office to appeal the decision before game day, with sources close to the matter baring to SPIN.ph that the team is currently in the process of disputing.
