FEMI Edu will always be grateful for the help that his kuya AJ gave him which led him to Ateneo.
The hard work, however, begins now for the 18-year-old swingman, as he knows that it’s up to him to prove his worth with the Blue Eagles.
“I’m thankful for my brother because he gave me a platform, he gave me some exposure, but now that I’m here, I want to use everything to make a name for myself,” said the incoming Ateneo rookie.

The Edu surname is probably the only thing similar between AJ and Femi, though, as their games couldn’t be more different.
“Obviously, my brother is 6-10. I didn’t get blessed with that kind of height,” laughed the 6-foot-4 Fil-Cypriot out of Copleston High School in Ipswich, England.
“My main difference is I take advantage of my speed. I’m more of a downhill player and I can shoot the three. I’m trying to get better with my midrange.”
Femi's final answer
Still, the younger Edu understands that he still has a lot of proving to do, not just for coach Tab Baldwin, but for all of Katipunan.

But the good thing is that he’s ready and raring to earns his minutes in the Blue Eagles rotation, as he tries to inject “aggressiveness on offense and defense” whenever his number gets called.
“For me, I want to at least make an impact in the UAAP, hopefully find some minutes, and find my way in the rotation. Those are the main goals for me,” said Edu.
