AARON Black is glad to start working his way back into shape and is confident that just a number of practice sessions away from top form.

Out for three weeks due to a left foot injury, Black returned to action and managed to contribute to the Blue Eagles’ big win over University of the East.

The sophomore guard injured his left foot during a loss to Far Eastern University and is glad to return and help the Eagles end a two-game skid.

Now pain free, Black played 13 minutes, coming up with four points, four rebounds, three assists, and a steal.

“I think it was a good bounce back win. We struggled in the last few games. We were able to lock down on defense especially in the second quarter and the second half. We were able to move the ball,” said Black.

He admitted he is still far from his best form after attending practices for only five days before getting back in action.

“There is no more pain. I’m just trying to get back in shape. Few more practices and I should be better,” Black said.

Black is also glad that despite being forced into committing 23 turnovers by the UE pressure defense, the Blue Eagles were able to survive.

“Every time we broke the press, we were able to take good shots,” said Black.
