    Terrence Fortea shows way for National U in 50-point rout of UPIS

    NAZARETH School of National University annihilated the hapless University of the Philippines Integrated School, 104-54, on Sunday for its fourth win in as many games in the UAAP Season 81 juniors basketball tournament at the Blue Eagle Gym.

    Terrence Fortea came off the bench to score 23, hiting six three-pointers.

    Gerry Abadiano chipped in 14 points, five assists, two rebounds and two steals, while Kevin Quiambao put up a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds and made four assists.

    The Bullpups gun for their fifth straight win against UE Junior Warriors (0-3) on Saturday at 1 p.m.

    Ralph Labao had 19 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Junior Maroons, who have yet to win in four matches.

    JM Gomez De Liano had 13 points and nine rebounds, while Allen Torres added 11 markers, six boards and three assists.

    UPIS next faces defending champion Ateneo (2-1).

    Far Eastern University surged in the fourth quarter to take down Adamson University, 75-60, and tighten its hold of second place with a 3-1 win-loss record.

    Royce Alforque filled his stats line with a game-high 18 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal for the Baby Tamaraws.

    RJ Abarrientos fired three triples and finished with 16 points, while making eight assists, while Miguel Ona added 11 markers and five boards.

    Holding a 56-48 lead at the end of the third quarter, the Baby Tams went on a 7-2 run capped by an Alforque triple for a 63-50 advantage with 5:59 left.

    FEU will try to keep its hold of second place when it faces De La Salle Zobel (2-1) on Saturday at 9 a.m.
