NAZARETH School of National University cruised to its third straight win, routing University of Sto. Tomas, 84-55, to keep its hold of the UAAP Season 81 juniors basketball tournament lead on Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym.

Kevin Quiambao and Terrence Fortea starred as the Bullpups improved to a 3-0 win-loss record.

Quiambao put up 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks, while Fortea delivered 11 points off three triples on top of three rebounds and three assists.

Reyland Torres and Gerry Abadiano had 10 points each, while Ernest Felicida and Cyril Gonzales added nine markers apiece.

The Bullpups gun for their fourth win against the UPIS Junior Maroons (0-2) on Sunday next week.

Johnvic Casingcasing led Tiger Cubs with 19 points. JB Lina put up a double-double of 10 points and 19 rebounds, while rookie Mark Nonoy had nine points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals for UST, which dropped to 1-2.

Meanwhile, Adamson Baby Falcons surged in the payoff period to dispatch the winless UE Baby Warriors, 57-44.

AP Manlapaz showed the way with 14 points, 16 rebounds, four blocks, four assists and two steals. Joseph Prodigo contributed eight points and six rebounds, while Cyrus Nitura and Lorenz Capulong added seven apiece as Adamson improved to 2-1 to stay in third place.

Holding a 36-34 at the end of third quarter, the Falcons caught fire in the fourth frame and dominated the Baby Warriors, taking a 49-40 lead after Capulong’s lay-up with three minutes to go.

Adamson will battle FEU next week at 11 a.m.

UE dropped its third straight game reeling at the bottom despite Jesse Sullano’s 12 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Mike Flores had nine points and six rebounds, while Shane Dichoso and Reiniel Lima added seven apiece.

UE hopes to finally score its first win when it takes on UST also next week at 1 p.m.
