THE Ateneo duo of Kai Sotto and SJ Belangel occupy the top two spots in the NBTC-Chooks To Go High School Power Rankings for Week Three.
Sotto remained ahead in the top 24 high school players list in a deliberation by coaches and sports scribes after tallying 16 points, six rebounds, and three blocks in the Blue Eaglets’ 93-73 win over De La Salle-Zobel.
Belangel, meanwhile, continues to rise in the rankings after contributing 21 points in the victory that gave the Blue Eaglets their 11th win in as many outings.
Joel Cagulangan of La Salle Greenhills slipped to third, while Will Gozum of Mapua and L-Jay Gonzales of Far Eastern University took the fourth and fifth spots, respectively, in the list also called as NBTC 24.
Rhayyan Amsali of National University rose to sixth, as CJ Cansino of University of Santo Tomas, Dave Ildefonso of Ateneo, RJ Abarrientos of FEU, and Clint Escamis of Mapua round out the top 10.
Terrence Fortea of NU, Aaron Fermin of Arellano, Inand Fornilos of La Salle Greenhills, Evan Nelle of San Beda, and John Galinato of Chiang Kai Shek College occupy the 11th to 15th spots, respectively.
Warren Bonifacio of Mapua got the 16th spot, followed by Joaqui Manuel of Ateneo, Raven Cortez of De La Salle-Zobel, McLaude Guadana of Lyceum, and Harvey Pagsanjan Hope Christian High School.
Maui Cruz of Emilio Aguinaldo College is in 21st, while Joem Sabandal of Adamson returned to the list at number 22. Cesafi MVP Beirn Laurente of University of Visayas and Harold Alarcon of Bacolod Tay Tung High School complete the list.
