After Ildefonso exit, Ateneo gets boost as Batang Gilas Jason Credo staying put

JASON Credo will stay with Ateneo after playing high school ball with the Blue Eaglets.

Credo averaged 9.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Ateneo squad that won the UAAP Season 80 juniors tournament.

“Now after winning a UAAP juniors championship and graduating from the Ateneo senior high school, I am going to continue both my studies and basketball in my dream school - Ateneo de Manila University,” the 6-5 Credo wrote on his Twitter account.

    The 18-year-old Credo also played for Batang Gilas in the 2015 Fiba Asia Under-16 Championship. The Philippines finished fifth in the competition.

    Blue Eaglets star SJ Belangel earlier commited to play for Ateneo in college, but teammate Dave Ildefonso decided to move to National University, joining his father Danny and brother Shaun with the Bulldogs.
