ADAMSON intends to speak with its juniors head coach Goldwin Monteverde, who, sources said, has resigned as head coach of the Baby Falcons.
Monteverde, according to sources, recently submitted a courtesy resignation after his contract with the school expired at the end of Season 79 of the UAAP.
Adamson athletic director Fr. Aldrin Suan on Tuesday declined to comment on information reaching SPIN.ph that the multi-titled coach has filed his courtesy resignation with the Baby Falcons.
Suan, however, said he plans to talk with Monteverde at the soonest possible time.
“(I) can’t comment yet. Need to talk to him first,” said Suan in an SMS message.
Monteverde led the Baby Falcons to 13 victories last season in the UAAP, but the first 11 wins were later forfeited by the league board after declaring Encho Serrano ineligible to play in Season 79.
Monteverde is also concurrently the head coach of Chiang Kai Shek College, which has also won numerous titles in Filipino-Chinese basketball leagues.
