NAZARETH School of National University continued to pace the UAAP Season 81 juniors basketball tournament, this time crippling University of Santo Tomas, 94-66, Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Cyril Gonzales drove the Bullpups to another easy win with 16 points and four rebounds as they started the game with a 23-7 blitz.

Carl Tamayo was rock solid anew off the bench with his 15 points, four boards, three assists and one rejection, while the backcourt tandem of Terrence Fortea and Gerry Abadiano did wonders anew. Fortea got 14 points and three rebounds, while Abadiano had 12 points, 10 boards and four assists.

It was an all-out domination for NSNU to rack its third straight win and preserve its position atop at 8-1.

Mark Nonoy led the fight for the Tiger Cubs with his 26 points on a 4-of-19 shooting, together with seven rebounds, four dimes, two steals, and a block.

Bismarck Lina provided support with his 12 points and eight rebounds in the losing effort for UST (4-5).

In the final game of the day, Kai Sotto dropped 30 points and eight rebounds as Ateneo needed a late spurt to shake off UE, 82-59.

Sotto kept the Blue Eaglets afloat, but it was the supporting cast which did the trick and used a 14-1 finishing kick from a 68-58 lead to finally wiggle out of the pesky Junior Warriors' grasps.

David Diaz had a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds with three assists and two blocks, while Geo Chiu poured 10 points, six boards and three dimes.

Forthsky Padrigao also dished out 12 assists and grabbed nine rebounds to make up for his horrid 1-of-9 shooting to nab just two points.

Ateneo improved to 6-3, still tied with Adamson for third place, as it dropped UE down to 1-8.
