AFTER taking the internet by storm with his highlight reels in the Palarong Pambansa in 2024 and 2025, Chog Moral continues to draw attention - not just for his game, but for where his journey is headed next.

The 17-year-old guard is currently suiting up for St. Augustine Institute of Pampanga, a program backed by Pampanga Vice Governor and Converge head coach Delta Pineda.

Now in Grade 10, Moral remains grounded despite the growing spotlight brought by his viral performances.

“Siyempre, masarap sa feeling na ang dami sumusuporta,” he said when SPIN.ph caught up with him when he watched the 2026 Smart-NBTC National Finals presented by SM.

“Pero may pressure din. Kailangan yung mga ginagawa mo, alam mo sa sarili mo.”

The 6-foot-1 playmaker is no stranger to competitive basketball circuits, as he previously represented the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in the NBTC regional level two years ago, though he opted to sit out the 2026 edition to prioritize his academics despite interest from other teams.

Still, his presence was felt during the recently concluded National Finals, where he attended as a spectator inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena for the first time.

For Moral, it was more than just watching games - it was a glimpse of a dream.

“Matagal ko nang pangarap makapaglaro sa MOA. Bata pa lang ako, nanonood na ako ng mga laro doon. Masarap siguro sa feeling makapaglaro doon,” he said.

As he approaches his senior high school years, decisions about his future are beginning to take shape.

While several schools have already expressed interest, Moral shared that Pineda is helping guide the process.

“May mga kumakausap naman, pero si 'Gov. Delta' na bahala,” he said.

Though he has yet to lock in a path, one thing is clear - his eyes are set on the UAAP, where he hopes to eventually bring his game to a bigger stage.

Guiding him along the way is former National U standout Jolo Manansala, also a product of Pineda's program in Pampanga, and whom Moral considers a mentor.

With his talent, exposure, and growing maturity, the next step for Moral is no longer a question of if, but when.
