THE UAAP board has forfeited Adamson's won games after declaring that the Baby Falcons fielded an ineligible player for Season 79 of the juniors basketball tournament, a source confirmed to SPIN.ph.
The league has yet to issue a statement at posting time, although it has been reported that the eligibility of Encho Serrano, the MVP race leader after the first round of the eliminations, was put into question midway through the tournament.
Calls and messages to Adamson officials for a reaction were left unanswered.
The forfeiture of their 11 victories, once official, dashes the Baby Falcons’ title hopes as they hold a 0-12 win-loss card with two games left in the eliminations.
Adamson is set to take on University of Santo Tomas on Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
A source added Adamson is expected to appeal the decision as it insists Serrano is eligible to play this season based on records submitted to the school.
