COLLEGE of St. Benilde coach Ty Tang praised Unique Naboa as the Blazers guard continues to show improvement.
Naboa scored 12 points in CSB’s 76-74 win over the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons on Thursday in the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup, while also coming up big down the stretch with a block on Bright Akhuetie.
"We need somebody like him on the floor, who can stabilize everybody inside, and facilitate on our offense," Tang said.
"He is the starter of the team and I think most of the minutes, he's always there on the floor," he added.
Naboa says he is eager to repay the trust given to him by Tang.
“Coach TY is a big help for me, he advises me how to execute properly. Now, I have improved on making sure the play runs all throughout," Naboa said.
“I think I have adjusted with the team pretty well."
