CHARLES Tiu could only let out a chuckle when asked if he agrees with what former NBA superstar Dwight Howard suggested just a few days ago.
"I don't think so," he said when asked about his thoughts on the social media post of the 37-year-old Howard saying the current Strong Group Athletics can beat NBA strugglers Detroit Pistons. In his post on X (formerly twitter),
Howard bragged about the Strong Group roster which he said is capable of defeating the Pistons, currently wallowing at the bottom of the NBA standings.

"My team in the Philippines could beat the Pistons. Lol," said Howard. "Me, Andray Blatche, Andre Roberson, McKenzie. Lol. It's over."
Tiu, also head coach of St. Benilde, could only shake his head and offer a smile when reminded about that social media post.
"We'd love to make it happen. That would be cool,' he said.
But truth be told, Tiu believes the Strong Group Athletics managed to form a competitive unit bannered by NBA veterans that is capable of winning it all.
"They wanted to win, they wanted to compete," said the Strong Group coach. "I'm excited to see everybody play in Dubai. And I'm sure we'll be very good there."
