AN outdoor basketball court at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City called the Titan Love Court has just opened, giving avid players the feel of playground basketball right in the heart of the city.

The Titan Love Court, located at the corner of 32nd Street and 9th Avenue in this bustling business district, has two regulation-sized basketball courts topped with 5-coat non-slip, quick-dry Acrylic Sports Surface System that has similarities to popular playground city courts like Rucker Park in New York and the Venice Beach Courts in Los Angeles.

Titan marketing manager Migs Rocha said the idea of constructing an outdoor court stemmed from the lack of outdoor basketball courts in the BGC area.

“Two years in the making siya,” said Rocha. “Naisip ng president namin na si Dennis Tan and ‘yung marketing director namin, si Raul Reynoso. Sila and the rest of the team, naisip nila na wala pang court sa BGC which is a prime business district.”

The Titan Love Court formally opened last Saturday with the Titan Summer Jam tournament, and became open to the public last Monday, where trial runs for media as well as active players and celebrities were held.

So far, Rocha said the reception has been positive, especially to the players that attended like Alab Pilipinas cagers Ray Parks, Jr. and Kiefer Ravena.

Creighton cager Kobe Paras even posted on social media that he looks forward to playing at the Titan Love Court when he returns to the country in May.

“Sabi ni Ray, it felt like nasa States siya. Nung pinost niya (Parks), nag-comment si Kobe Paras, sabi niya uuwi siya ng May at gusto niya maglaro,” said Rocha.

“Sobrang galing nung concept nung Titan,” said Ravena. “Nagkaroon sila ng objective which is to bring the game to the people. Alam natin na sobrang basketball-crazy natin mga Filipino and they made it possible."

“We have our own Rucker Park that bring people together and enjoy the sport that we love,” he added.

The Titan Love Court is open for a full membership fee of P2,200 valid for three months and includes a Titan Love Court team kit and tee, and full, unlimited access to open sessions, court rental, skills training, conditioning training, mini-tournaments, members-only league, and events.

A limited membership worth P1,000 and valid for 30 days is also available and includes a Titan Love Court tee, and 12 passes for open session, court rental, skills training, conditioning training, mini-tournaments, and events.

Once a member, they can book a session using the Titan Love Court app.
