TIKAS Kapampangan battles Zambales, as Taguig takes on Camsur as the National Basketball League-Pilipinas (NBL) Chairman’s Cup semifinals begins on Sunday at the Far Eastern University-Pampanga gym.
Tikas, the champions from last conference’s President’s Cup, topped Group A and took the best record in the league with a 12-2 record, arranging a semifinal showdown with Zambales, who placed second in Group B with an 8-6 mark.
Taguig ended up at first place in Group B with an 11-3 record, setting up the tiff against Camsur, which had an 11-3 mark for second place in Group A.
Tikas and Zambales will start their series at 5 p.m., right after the 3 p.m. showdown between Taguig and Camsur.
Being the leaders of their respective groups, Tikas Kapampangan and Taguig are in line for another title showdown after they faced each other in the President’s Cup.
Game 2 will be played on March 6, and Game 3, if necessary, will be on March 8.
