TIKAS Kapampangan defeated Camsur Express, 95-82, on Friday to draw first blood in their National Basketball League-Pilipinas (NBL) President’s Cup finals series at the Pampanga State University in Bacolor.
Tikas leaned on Lhancer Khan to claim Game 1 of the best-of-five finals showdown after they outscored the Express, 28-16, in the final period.
Game 2 is scheduled on Sunday, 5 p.m. at the Pampanga State University.

Khan finished with 23 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field in the series opener in Tikas’ quest for a second consecutive title. He also had four rebounds, two assists, and four steals.
Jaspher Manalang added 13 points, five rebounds, and eight assists, while Renzo Victoria had 12 points and 16 rebounds to make up for the struggles of Genmar Bragais, who only scored three points and missed all of his 11 attempts.
Jerome Almario scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Camsur’s first-ever finals game.
