Tey Teodoro fired three three-pointers and finished with 20 points for the Heavy Bombers, who followed up a huge win over defending champion La Salle.
Ervin Grospe added 10 points.
UE dropped to 1-1.
"Nandoon yung hinahanap kong extra pass. We're moving the ball, we're sharing the ball and we're able to break their press," said JRU coach Vergel Meneses.
The Heavy Bombers rode a strong third quarter, dropping 18 points to take a 59-48 lead but allowed the Warriors to slice to four.
"Supposed to be, pagdating ng third quarter and you're holding a big lead, you finish the game strong," said Meneses.
Alvin Pasaol was the lone bright spot for UE with 10 points and six rebounds.
