LETRAN and University of Santo Tomas will play a benefit game on Wednesday afternoon at the Letran gym with the proceeds going to the victims of super typhoon Yolanda.
Rain or Shine cagers Raymund Almazan and Jeric Teng will suit up for their respective college teams in the 2 p.m. game.
Ticket prices for the match between the UAAP and NCAA runner-ups and Dominican universities are pegged at P300.
“This is the Dominican institutions’ way of reaching out and helping our countrymen who have suffered from the wrath of super typhoon Yolanda,” said Fr. Victor Calvo, O.P., Letran’s athletic moderator in a statement.
Letran vice president Fr. Juan Ponce, O.P., in coordination with the UST administration made the event possible.
The benefit game is part of Letran’s series of campaigns to gather donations and relief for the Yolanda victims. The series include ‘No Aircon Days’ (November 18 and 21), ‘No Christmas Party for Admin,' and Óne-Day Salary Donation’ for employees, among other financial efforts.
