TEAM Baliuag overcame AMA Online Education, 98-87, on Thursday in the 2017 Republica Cup commercial division basketball tournament at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.
Jean Victor had 32 points, while Pong Manansala finished with 17 points for Baliuag, which also has in its roster former PBA cagers Al Vergara and Egay Billones.
Manansala had 11 points in the fourth quarter.
JR Alabanza had 19 points, while Genmar Bragais chipped in 17 points for AMA Online Education, which stayed winless after two games in the collegiate basketball division.
