JORDAN Heading had a solid debut with Taichung, scoring 26 points in a 111-117 loss to Taiwan Beer in the T1 League on Saturday at the University of Taipei Tianmu Campus Gymnasium.
Initially left off the opening-day game, the Fil-Aussie guard went on to play and drained five of his 11 three-point attempts and also had eight rebounds, six assists and one steal.
Heading's appearance in the T1 League has been contoversial, since he is still still under contract to be part of the Philippine national pool.
Still, the 6-foot-2 guard went on to play for Taichung.
Diamond Stone exploded for 47 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists as Taiwan Beer scored its second win of the season.
Tony Mitchell provided support with a triple-double effort of 24 points, 11 boards, and 10 assists, while team captain Chiang Yu-an got 20 points, nine dimes, and two steals for the HeroBears.

Tough start for Suns
It was a tough opening game for the Suns, which also saw Palestinian star Sani Sakakini drop 40 points, 16 rebounds, and seven assists in his first game in Taiwan.
Chen Ching-huan drained six of his eight three-point attempts and wound up with 20 points, and Ting Sheng-ju scored 16 for Taichung.
The Suns take a week break before visiting the Kaohsiung Poseidon Aquas on Nov. 19 at Kaohsiung Arena.
