TAGUIG Generals opened its title-retention bid with two straight wins, while Zambales Eruption pulled off a come-from-behind win in continuing action of the National Basketball League-Pilipinas Chairman’s Cup.
Generals stay unbeaten
The Generals defeated the Eruption, 110-103, at the JILCF Gym in Bocaue, Bulacan last Saturday, and won over Muntinlupa Chiefs, 107-73, last Sunday at the Villar Coliseum in Las Pinas City at the start of their bid to win their third straight conference title overall in the league.

The Eruption bounced back from the defeat against the Generals in a huge way, overcoming a 22-point deficit to beat Camsur Express, 94-90, at the Villar Coliseum.
Taguig leads the team standings with a 2-0 record, while Zambales has a 2-1 slate heading into the Christmas break.
LJ Mayo had 25 points and 10 rebounds for Taguig in its game against Muntinlupa.
Lyndon Del Rosario had 35 points and 11 rebounds for the Eruption in the victory over the Express.
