APRIL Siat buried a jumper with 3.9 seconds left as Taguig beat Go For Gold-Philippine Navy, 52-51, to keep its record unblemished in the 2022 WNBL season at the Bulacan Provincial Capitol Gymnasium.
Siat gave the Lady Generals the lead in the dying seconds, scoring from the free throw line off an inbound pass as the Lady Generals closed the first round with a 4-0 record.
Siat finished with 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists to complete the comeback from 16 points down.
Taguig rallies to victory
Taguig trailed by four points but AJ Gloriani sparked the Lady Generals with 11 points including a three-pointer to close the gap at 47-46.
The teams exchanged baskets from there with Siat carrying Taguig with the last four points of the contest, sending Go For Gold-Navy to its second loss in four games.
PSI Lady Air Defenders also improved its card to 2-2, beating the Quezon Lady Spartans, 77-73.
Cindy Resultay topscored for the Air Force squad with 22 points for its second straight victory, handing the Lady Spartans their fourth loss.
