TAGUIG and Eridanus Sta. Rosa kept their unblemished record on Friday in the National Basketball League-Pilipinas Chairman’s Cup at the Dominican College Gym in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The Generals defeated Zambales Eruption, 101-86, while Eridanus Sta. Rosa won over Makati Circus, 109-101.
Taguig nails third win
Taguig picked up its third win, while Sta. Rosa grabbed its second victory in as many games.
Jonathan Lontoc had 19 points, while Mike Sampurna had 18 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists for the Generals, who led by as many as 22 points in the contest.
AJ Junsay had 25 points, five rebounds, and seven assists, as Shawndy Algire had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Sta. Rosa.
Makati remains winless
Zambales dropped to 2-2, while Makati remained winless in three games.
Action resumes on Sunday at the Duenas Gym in Taguig with Camsur Express taking on Muntinlupa Chiefs at 3 p.m., Zambales Eruption facing Tatak Gel Binan at 5 p.m., and Makati Circus batting Taguig Generals at 7 p.m.
