DAN Natividad carried Taguig to a 113-108 victory over La Union on Wednesday night at the Hagonoy Sports Complex to close in on the National Basketball League-Pilipinas (NBL) Chairman’s Cup title.
Natividad had 29 points including key baskets in the fourth quarter that sent the Generals to the Game One win in the best-of-three title showdown.

The Generals look to finish off the PAOwer and claim their second title in the regional league for homegrown talents on the road in Game Two set on Saturday at the San Juan Gym in La Union. Taguig last won the NBL crown in 2019.
Natividad scored on a lay-up for Taguig’s biggest lead, 101-91, and ended a 6-0 blast by the Generals late in the contest for a 107-98 advantage. He later dedicated his performance to his mother, who recently passed away.
LJ Mayo added 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Mike Sampurna tallied 15 points to also contribute in the Taguig win.
Billy Boado had 27 points and eight rebounds but the PAOwer dropped Game One despite leading by as many as seven in the contest.
