PAOLO Taha converted the go-ahead three-point play to lead College of Saint Benilde to its second straight win, a 78-74 victory over University of Perpetual Help on Wednesday in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup at The Arena in San Juan.

Taha had 16 points, his three-point play with less than three minutes left in the game putting the Blazers ahead.

Taha’s conversion pulled the Blazers to a 70-68 lead, then he joined forces with JR Ongteco in the late goings to stave off the Altas.

Ongteco scored on a fastbreak play, and Taha buried a running shot that made it a 74-70 game for the Blazers.

“We have a lot to learn especially when we were not able to play well defensively. It’s still a learning thing for us,” said CSB coach Gabby Velasco.

The Blazers, who scored a 74-49 victory over University of the Philippines on May 8, now have a 2-3 win-loss mark.
