UAAP rivals Aljun Melecio and Justine Baltazar team up and join forces with NCAA star Ricci Rivero at Team Punks as they go up against Team Hype in the 3rd Slam Rising Stars Classic on March 20 at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.
Melecio of La Salle-Zobel, Baltazar of National University and Rivero of La Salle-Greenhills will be joined by Carlo Abadeza of Arellano, Alberto Bordeos of San Beda, Sherwin Concepcion of Mapua, Guilmer Dela Torre of Arellano, Juan Gomez De Liano of University of the Philippines Integrated School, Shaun Ildefonso of Ateneo, Evan Nelle of San Beda, Kyle Ong of Xavier School, and Brent Paraiso of La Salle-Zobel.
Team Hype is composed of Samuel Abu Hiljeh of San Beda, BJ Andrade of Ateneo, John Lloyd Clemente of NU, Michael Enriquez of Mapua, Javi Gomez De Liano of UPIS, Gian Mamuyac of Ateneo, Jolo Mendoza of Ateneo, Harvey Kenji Roman of Far Eastern University-Diliman, Marco Sario of La Salle-Zobel, Jonas Tibayan of Chiang Kai Shek College, and Tyler Tio of Xavier School.
Team Punks will be coached by Gian Nazario of La Salle-Zobel, while Team Hype will be handled by Joe Silva of Ateneo.
The teams will also have assistant coaches that are now playing in the PBA.
Marc Pingris of Star and Troy Rosario of Tropang TNT will be part of Team Punks, while Tony de la Cruz and Chris Banchero of Alaska will be with Team Hype.
