SKYFORCE recovered from 18 points down to win, 98-84, over Mighty Sports, which failed to get the needed boost from former PBA stars Kenneth Duremdes and Marlou Aquino on Sunday in the 2013 Danny Espiritu Cup basketball tournament at the Treston Gym in Taguig.
Ronjay Enrile scored 19 points as Skyforce registered its third win in as many games to grab a share of the lead with Sealions and MOB Alliance.
Aquino scored six points, while Duremdes had one.
Ronnie Zagala and Gilbert Malabanan each had 19 points to power Sealions to an 80-74win over Expert Global Solutions.
The duo made the crucial buckets in the final eight minutes to take control after a deadlock at 57.
At the Letran Gym on Saturday, MOB Alliance defeated GlobalPort Batang Pier, 105-91.
Jopher Custodio led a MOB Alliance with 17 points, hitting four of the team’s 14 three-pointers. Macky Acosta and Jeff Viernes had three treys each and finished with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
Erwin Sta. Maria's 28 markers still weren't enough to get the Batang Pier staff over the hump as they suffered their fourth loss.
