AFTER staging several basketball camps in Metro Manila and in the provinces, Simple Grind is scheduled to hold two outside the country.
The first camp will be held in Hong Kong on June 8 at the Chai Wan Sports Centre and June 9 at the Lockhard Road Sports Centre from 9 to 11 a.m.
The second camp is scheduled on July 6 and 7 from 9 to 12 noon in Singapore and to be held at the UWC South East Asia (East Campus-Tampines).
HK, Singapore camp skeds
The Hong Kong camp is for players aged 10 and up, while the Singapore camp is for 12 and up, and open to all nationalities.
Simple Grind trainer Nicolo Chua previously staged camps in Quezon City, Siargao, Iloilo City, Davao City, Laoag, Binan, San Miguel (Bulacan), Baliwag (Bulacan), and Caloocan City.
Simple Grind also collaborated with Coleman Ayers of Miami Detail Gym last October 2023.
“I wanted to share our knowledge, values and love for the game for players/trainers not just here in the Philippines, but also around the world. So when the opportunity came up to have camps in these two countries in Asia, I grabbed it.
“And I'm sure, it's not only them that's learning from us, but also us coaches, will be learning from the players, their system, their basketball culture and many more,” said Chua.
The Hong Kong and Singapore camps were made possible by coach Kit Cueto and MCDC Sports, respectively.
