John Michael Pablo scored 25 points and Leo Pati-an added 23 markers as the FEATI Seahawks withstood a big SDCA rally from an 18-point fourth quarter deficit to seal the win.
On the other hand, veteran Morris Bryan Pallares sizzled for 24 points and led to Patriots to leads of as much as 28 points over Manila Tytana.
Both teams will meet in a do-or-die match, with the winner living for another day to face defending champion Technological Institute of the Philippines on Sept. 25 at the start of the stepladder semis.
Philippine Merchant Marine School already clinched an outright finals berth after topping the eliminations with a perfect 6-0 record. The best-of-three Finals begins on Oct. 4.
La Consolacion College Manila holds a twice-to-beat advantage against the winner between TIP and either FEATI or PWU in the last phase of the stepladder semis on Sept. 27. A winner-take-all match will be held on Oct. 1, if necessary.
