DEFENDING champion San Juan gave its home crowd a show while keeping its record unblemished, downing Quezon City, 89-71, late Monday night in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Cup at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Knights scored their eighth win in as many games while Quezon City dropped to 4-4.
John Wilson led the Knights with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Larry Rodriguez chalked up 13 markers and 10 boards.

San Juan ended the third on a 17-7 blitz, with six players scoring on the run, to pull away for good heading into the payoff period, 61-50.
The Knights led by as many as 22 points after Wilson buried a triple at the 5:55 mark of the fourth, 80-58.
San Juan dominated the boards, 57-47.

Clark Derige provided the spark for the Capitals with 19 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.
