SAN Juan and Davao Occidental clash on Saturday in Game Three of the MPBL Lakan Season finals at the Subic Bay Convention Center.
The Knights and the Tigers clash at 3 p.m.
San Juan avoided a 0-2 hole by defeating Davao Occidental, 70-65, on Thursday. Mike Ayonayon and John Wilson combined for 32 points for the Knights in the Game Two victory.
San Juan coach Randy Alcantara hopes for an even better effort after getting the Game Two victory with some lift from Larry Rodriguez and Jhonard Clarito.
Alcantara made it clear the Knights won’t win with Ayonayon alone in the championship series that offers little rest. Games One and Two were held on consecutive days, before the league took a break. With Game Four set on Sunday, the winner of Saturday's match gets a considerable advantage, at least psychologically.
Davao Occidental is looking to get back on track after winning Game One, 77-75, in overtime.
Emman, Mark Yee and Billy Ray Robles are expected to play big roles as the Tigers’ aim to take back the driver’s seat in the series.
