SAN Beda clobbered Mapua, 95-60, in the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup 2018 in San Juan, Tuesday.
Javee Mocon scored a game-high 20 points, three rebounds and two steals as San Beda improved to 6-2 for the tournament.
The Red Lions banked on a 35-point third quarter after a sluggish first quarter where they trailed the Cardinals by seven.
“Mapua is a very strong team. We know that they’re really playing well. They played well in the first quarter, but the boys (San Beda) really stepped up their game,” San Beda coach Boyet Fernandez said.
“Ang sa amin is, we play the game, we do our best to win that game, and whatever will be our next opponent, we will just prepare,” he added.
Eugene Toba added 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks as Clint Doliguez added 10 points and seven boards.
Cedric Pelayo had 14 points and seven rebounds for the Cardinals, while Lawrence Victoria and Warren Bonifacio added nine markers apiece.
The Cardinals fell to their fifth straight defeat after rocking 3-0 start.
