Donald Tankoua stars as San Beda beats Ateneo to secure second seeding in group ahead of preseason quarters

SAN Beda turned back Ateneo, 82-73, on Sunday to claim the second seed in Group B of the Filoil Flying V Premier Cup at The Arena in San Juan.

Donald Tankoua registered 20 points and 13 boards, while AC Soberano added 15 points built around five triples to lead the Red Lions to their sixth win in seven games.

The Blue Eagles absorbed a third setback in seven games to settle for third seed.

Ateneo missed the presence of coach Tab Baldwin, who only caught up with his team late in the game after holding Gilas Pilipinas practice at Meralco gym.
