Host Jubilee Christian Academy bounced back from its loss to Saint Jude with a 70-60 thumping of Pace Academy as Carlo Lim chalked up 32 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and four steals while Roland Roldan drained three triples and wound up with 13 markers.
The top two teams after the elimination round will enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
League newcomer Saint Stephen’s High School (4-2) has the inside track in the race to the No. 3 spot, needing only to beat Uno High School (1-5).
The Stephenians dropped their first two games – 67-65 against Saint Jude and 79-73 in overtime vs. Jubilee after blowing a 60-50 lead with six minutes left in regulation.
Pace Academy and Philippine Cultural College currently share the fourth spot at 3-3.
The Seagulls go up against winless Grace Christian College (0-6), while the Pacers take on Saint Jude in their final elims matches.
