Meantime, National University bounced back from a shock 107-104 double overtime loss to the Altalettes with an 82-77 win over Far Eastern University.
Six-foot-7 Carl Tamayo led NU’s well-balanced attack this time with 17 points aside from posting 10 boards, two blocks and the same number of assists.
In the other game of the tournament also backed by Choi Garden, CW Home Depot, Powerhouse, and Hapee Toothpaste, Mapua University downed La Salle Greenhills, 81-71, for its first win in two games.
Clint Escamis led the Red Robins with 25 points and seven boards.
