THE Philippine Youth Elite basketball team will compete in the DSA Asia Cup Invitational on April 28 and 29 at the Harrow International School in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
The Under-13 team will compete against six club teams from Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Ian Chua is skipper of the team that also has Irus Chua, Andre Herrera, Emmanuel Victoria, LeBron Nieto, Cassidy Dacanay, Prince Alao, Javi Jugo, Joshua Edrozo, Kerwin Flores, Enzo Kung, JV Lumanog, Justin Cruz, Abel Lopez and Erick Sy.
“We have a big chance because sa age na 13-under kasi hindi pa naman masyado malalaki ang kalaban, and skills-wise, lamang naman tayo,” said head coach Mark Herrera
PBA great Vergel Meneses and Jose Rizal University coach Vergel Meneses recently visited the youth team at training to show support.
