Olivarez College looks to snap a two-game losing run as it battles St. Joseph College of Bulacan at 12 p.m.
The Engineers outshot and outrebounded the Blue Dragons the first time they clash two weeks ago but to the chagrin of coach Potit De Vera they bungled one scoring opportunity after another at crunch time.
Robby Darang underscored Diliman’s resilience and energy with 28 points spiked by four triples. He also had four rebounds and three assists to help Diliman’s sustain its winning drive.
The Blue Dragons have won six straight since losing to Centro Escolar University, 88-61, on Sept 20. Part of Diliman’s six-game winning streak was its back-to-back wins over erstwhile leader Olivarez.
The Olivarez Sea Lions eye a repeat over the St. Joseph dribblers to put their semis bid back on track.
St. Joseph, who lost to Olivarez, 91-68, in the first round, is languishing at the cellar with a dismal 0-8 card.
