    RJ Abarrientos fails to fire in KBL All-Star debut

    RJ Abarrientos only had three points in his KBL All-Star debut as Team Heo Ung's late rally fell short, bowing to Team Lee Dae Sung, 122-117, on Sunday at Suwon KT Arena.

    The Filipino gunner, the lone Asian import to make it to the midseason exhibition, played only 14 minutes and shot 1-of-6 from deep, alongside three rebounds and three assists in the losing cause.

    Yet Team Heo Ung refused to go away quietly, staging a 31-point fourth quarter after trailing by as much as 31 points before running out of time.

    Suwon KT SonicBoom's Ha Yun Gi earned the All-Star MVP honors with his 28 points and nine rebounds to lead Team Lee Dae Sung.

      Former Phoenix import Lee Gwan Hee of the Changwon LG Sakers added 19 points on 5-of-12 clip from distance, alongside five boards, as team captain Lee of Daegu KOGAS Pegasus got 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists to his name.

      Goyang Carrot Jumpers' Jeon Seong Hyun was the top scorer for Team Heo Ung with his 29 points and three rebounds.

      Anyang KGC's Omari Spellman chimed in 20 points, as naturalized center Ra Gun-A (Ricardo Ratliffe) of Jeonju KCC Egis had 13 points, eight boards, and four assists.
