TEAM Rizal looks to make it back-to-back wins as the Crusaders take on Mandaluyong El Tigre on Tuesday in the MPBL Datu Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Rizal made the win column by beating Laguna over a week ago, and look to sustain the momentum as it hosts the El Tigre at 9 p.m.
The Makati Skyscrapers and the Gen San Warriors face off at 7 p.m.
A win over Rizal will extend Mandaluyong’s winning streak to four after an opening-day loss. The El Tigre are looking to join Bataan in a tie for second place in the 26-team league.
Mandaluyong’s Ray Parks is running sixth in average points at 18.5 per game and second best in assists at 8 each outing.
In his team’s last win – a 59-55 triumph over Navotas – Parks finished with 19 points and eight rebounds, coming away with big plays down the stretch to keep his team’s winning run.
Rizal looks to stop limit Parks as the Crusaders eye their first home victory.
The Crusaders were denied of their first home win by the Pasay Voyagers last time they played here.
Makati is also looking for its fourth win in five games and the Skyscrapers are heavily favored against the Warriors of Gen San.
The Skyscrapers are coming off a tough 79-77 win over the Davao Occi Tigers-Cocolife where Cedric Ablaza had a near perfect game, finishing with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field.
