RICCI Rivero of La Salle Greenhills captured the Slam Dunk contest of the NBTC National Championship on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Rivero showcased his mad hops with a spectacular dunk in the final round to capture the title over Matthew Daves of Canada.
The La Salle Greenhills standout first jumped over NCAA Season 91 slam dunk king Jebb Bulawan of Lyceum to gain a 50 from the five judges.
Then, needing only to execute a dunk to formally claim the contest, Rivero capped off the slam dunk joust in style by jumping over three teammates in the NBTC All-Star Game Division 1, sending the spectators in a frenzy.
