Ricci Rivero scores 34 in tournament debut for UP, but Maroons lose to UE Warriors

RICCI Rivero scored 34 points in University of the Philippines’ 69-68 loss to University of the East in the Milcu Got Skills Adidas Summer Showcase at the Philippine Buddhacare Academy.

It was Rivero’s first offseason game in a UP uniform since moving from La Salle. Rivero is currently undergoing a one-year residency for the Maroons and will be eligible to play for State U in Season 82 or in 2019.

Rivero was the lone double-digit scorer for UP where he played with mostly members of the Maroons’ Team B.

Chris Conner had 14 points for the Red Warriors in the win.
