KOREAN naturalized player Ricardo Ratliffe picked Thirdy Ravena as one of the young players to watch, including the Filipino guard in his list when asked to come up with his All-Asia team during an interview.

The former Star Hotshots import, who goes by the name Ra Gun-A in Korea, listed himself with Chinese legend Yao Ming, Jordanian forward Dar Tucker, Guamanian winger Earnest Ross, and veteran Korean guard Yang Donggeun in his starting five.

He added three reserves, naming Koreans Lee Dae-Sung and Choi Jun-Yong together with Ravena.

"My boy Thirdy from the Philippines because I know he's the future," he told TK Kulsomboon in a Fiba Asia Cup chat on IGTV.

Ravena, a three-time UAAP Finals MVP from Ateneo, has signed with San-En NeoPhoenix in the Japanese B.League, the first Filipino to sign with the league's Asian Player Quota.

Although they have not yet faced off, Ravena and Ratliffe are bound to clash with the Philippines and Korea slotted in Group A of the 2021 Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers.
