GILAS Pilipinas stalwart Rhenz Abando is still undecided whether to stay in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) or take his act to the B. League.
Abando is currently in the country following his stint with the Anyang KGC where his two-year contract recently expired.
Marvin Espiritu of the Espiritu Manotoc Basketball Management (EMBM) said the former NCAA Rookie of the Year-MVP has yet to decide on the next step he will take as far as his career is concerned.
But he did admit several teams both from the KBL and B.League have been trying to lure the 26-year-old high-flyer from Santo Tomas, La Union.
“Sa ngayon undecided pa siya. Bakasyon lang muna siya dito,” said Espiritu.
Without a doubt, Abando made his mark in the KBL in the two years he played for Anyang. He helped Anyang win the KBL championship right in his rookie season, along with the EASL Champions Week – in both instances beating rival Seoul SK Knights.
His second season in the league was marred by a serious back injury following a bad fall in a game against Goyang Sono.
Anyang also failed to make the KBL playoffs, although it secured third place in the first EASL home-and-away season where Abando barely played due to his recurring back problem.
Meanwhile, SJ Belangel signed a new, two-year deal with Daeku Kogas Pegasus, according to Espiritu.

The former Gilas playmaker averaged 12.6 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.8 rebounds for the Pegasus this season.
