RHENZ Abando was quick to rule out any malicious intent on the part of Goyang Sono import Chinanu Onuaku on a collision that left him with injuries to the head, wrist, and spine.
The Anyang Jung Kwan Jang high-flyer gave a brief insight into the unfortunate incident with the American import that has kept him out of action in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).

"Siguro accident naman 'yun. Ayoko na rin magsalita about du'n and ayaw ko na rin pag-usapan ['yung incident]," Abando told the press in Anyang's media availability on Tuesday afternoon.

Abando said he also respects the KBL decision not to slap match suspensions on Onuaku.
"Actually, hindi ko rin alam eh [kung bakit ganu'n 'yung desisyon]. 'Yun 'yung naging hatol nila so mag-sstick na rin ako du'n," Abando said.
Abando rules out legal action
Shortly after the incident and eventual fan-led protests, Abando's camp reportedly mulled taking legal action against Onuaku.
He has now dismissed taking such course of action moving forward.
"Pinag-usapan naman namin [ng agents ko] and sabi ko hindi na ako mag-aano (file ng legal action). Nabanggit lang nila sa'kin [na may plano sana]," Abando explained.
As it stands, Onuaku's three million won fine remains the only sanction on the American import for the Abando incident.
