FIL-American Robbie Herndon edged retired two-time PBA MVP Willie Miller, 21-19, in the final to top the Red Bull King of the Rock one-on-one basketball tournament on Saturday at Baluarte de Dilao in Intramuros, Manila.

Herndon, who played for San Francisco State in NCAA Division II, hit two triples in the final minute to clinch the title and earn a ticket to the King of the Rock World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey in August.

The 22-year-old Herndon, who beat Jonathan Egea in the semifinals, will battle players from over 60 countries in the world meet.

A nine-time PBA All-Star, Miller, 38, turned back fellow ABL player Jerramy King in the semis.

Qualifying events were held in Cebu and Manila and 32 players made it to the final day including Cesafi  MVP Mac Tallo of Southwestern University and Philippine Christian University’s Nigerian reinforcement Obinna Ezeike.
