CEBU CITY – Rabeh Al-Hussaini scored 16 points to help the Meralco Bolts crush the Cebu Landmasters-University of San Jose-Recoletos, 92-61, in the Recoletos Invitational Cup on Thursday night at the USJ-R Coliseum.
The former Ateneo standout and PBA Rookie of the Year awardee made the most of his minutes on the floor as he attempts to break out after rejoining the Bolts after years of absence.
The win, Meralco’s second in as many games, set the Bolts up for a clash with sister squad NLEX for the championship of this four-team pocket tournament.
Rookie guard Jonathan Grey continued to impress as he chipped in 13 while Cliff Hodge had 12. Forwards Justin Chua and Ken Bono contributed 11 each.
Former Far Eastern University Baby Tamaraw Tricky Peromingan led the Landmasters with 13 points while RJ Dinolan had a dozen.
The Landmasters will be taking on the University of the Visayas for third place.
