WILL Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson take the place of his injured brother Rondae at Meralco in the East Asia Super League?
Sources told SPIN.ph the older brother of the three-time PBA Best Import has been on the reserve list of the Bolts and has been practicing with the team even while Rondae was healthy and playing.

The 34-year-old product of Temple University was actually around when Justin Brownlee first joined the Bolts in practice leading to the week of their game against the Macau Black Bears.
With his younger brother out with an Achilles tendon rupture, and most likely grounded for at least a year, will Rahlir take his place at Meralco?
If this happens, it will be the second EASL stint for the elder Hollis-Jefferson as he also suited up in the same regional tournament in the 2023-24 season as one of two imports of TNT along with Quincy Miller.
He later teamed up with his brother when Rondae replaced Miller, although their partnership didn’t end in a Final Four stint for the Tropang 5G.
Rahlir also once played for TNT as import during the 2023-24 Commissioner’s Cup when he came in as a late replacement for Rondae, who was then nursing an injury.
Incidentally, Rahlir also went down with an Achilles tendon rupture in May of 2024 while playing in the T1 League semifinals for the Taipei Mars, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season.
