RACAL Caida Tiles defeated Foton, 90-81, at the start of the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League Founders Cup on Sunday at the Pasig Sports Center.
Jordan Rios scored 12 points, Alex Almario added 11 and Mike Parala had 10 points for Racal Caida Tiles, which joined sister team Racal Kama Motors as opening day winners in the eight-team tournament.
Racal Caida spoiled the efforts of Foton’s Levi Hernandez after a 13-3 run in the third quarter gave them a 58-46 lead.
Hernandez had 22 points for the Tornadoes, Moncrief Rogado scored 16 and Ed Rivera added 12.
Racal Kama Motors defeated Sta. Lucia Realty, 99-92, in overtime, with former PBA players Roider Cabrera and Rudy Lingganay leading the way.
