GOYANG Sono kept its playoff hopes alive after outlasting second-seeded Anyang KGC, 75-73, in the Korean Basketball League at the Goyang Gymnasium.
Fresh from his stint with Gilas Pilipinas, Kevin Quiambao finished with 15 points, three rebounds, and three assists, outshining Rhenz Abando, who struggled with just three points, two rebounds, and one assist in 17 minutes.

The Skygunners moved within one game of Suwon KT for the sixth spot with a 21-23 record, while the Red Boosters fell to 27-16.
Go, Gilas, go!
Another Gilas forward delivered the goods, as well, as Carl Tamayo helped power the league-leading Changwon LG Sakers to an 83-75 win over Ulsan Hyundai Mobis.
Tamayo tallied eight points, five rebounds, and one assist, while Jake Figueroa did not see action for Ulsan.
The LG Sakers solidified their hold of the top spot with a 31-13 slate, as the Mobis Phoebus dropped to 15-28.
In another matchup, William Navarro and the KCC Egis scored a 104-84 rout of Ethan Alvano and Wonju DB.
Navarro saw limited minutes, but still chipped in three points in four minutes, while Alvano finished with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Meantime, Arvin Tolentino’s 16-point, seven-rebound, and three-assist effort went for naught, as the Seoul SK Knights fell to a JD Cagulangan-less Suwon KT, 81-70.
The Knights remained in third-place with a 27-17 record, while the Sonicboom remained sixth at 22-22.
