QUEZON City and Dasmariñas scored their second straight wins on Saturday in the National Basketball League (NBL) Season 2 at the Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas gym.
The Quezon City Rising Stars beat the Zamboanga Valientes, 94-82, to improve their card to 3-4, while the Dasmariñas Ballers defeated the Nueva Ecija Rice Makers in overtime, 95-94, to even their record to 2-2.
Jeff Comia had 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Enzo Battad had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Rising Stars, who have won three of their last four games under the new ownership of Andrew Belarmino and Shelwin Sy.
JP Rabe had 23 points and 14 rebounds, Jeff Acain came up with 13 points and 11 boards, while John Cantimbuhan also had a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists as the Ballers won back-to-back games after starting 0-2 to start the season.
Earl Barredo had 25 points for the Valientes in the defeat. Nino Macasling had 21 points for the Rice Makers.
